Bruxism jaw clenching treatment

Bruxism, the medical term for jaw clenching, is a condition characterised by involuntary grinding or clenching of the teeth, often during sleep or times of stress. This can lead to various issues such as jaw pain, severe headaches, damaged teeth, and temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ).

The popular, prescription only medicine, commonly used to treat wrinkles can be a highly effective, minimally invasive treatment for managing symptoms of bruxism making it a convenient option for many sufferers. The treatment involves a very tiny injection directly into the overactive masseter muscle, thereby relaxing it back to normal function and elevating the jaw clench.

Treatment results are usually experienced within 2-3 days with full effects seen in about 2 weeks and lasting between 3-6 months. Most patients can resume normal activities immediately after the procedure. We have been delivering this treatment with fantastic results for many years, be assured you are in the hands of an experienced, clinically trained professional. A thorough consultation to qualify patients is essential so please book your appointment today and find out if this treatment is suitable for you.
